This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is processed by MeetingSlotFinder (hereinafter, "Application" or "Service"), operated by an independent developer, in compliance with applicable regulations (EU GDPR 2016/679, CCPA/CPRA, and other local laws).

For users residing in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK, the Data Controller acts as the data controller under the GDPR. Given the nature of the activity and the status of an individual developer who does not carry out large-scale processing or systematic monitoring, there is no obligation to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) pursuant to Article 37 of the GDPR.
2. Data Collected and Purposes
a) Data provided voluntarily (contact by email)
Data collected: Your email address and the content of your message, if you choose to write to the Controller directly at contact@meetingslotfinder.com.
Purpose: To respond to user requests for information, support, or to exercise privacy rights.
Legal basis: Performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the legitimate interest of the Controller in managing communications related to the Service.
Retention: For the time strictly necessary to handle the request, subject to any legal obligations.
b) Technical navigation data
Data collected: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, date/time, connection data.
Method: Collected automatically by the hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) and, subject to your express consent, via Google Analytics.
Purpose: Service delivery, IT security, abuse prevention, and aggregated statistical analysis.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest for technical management and site security; user consent for analytical tools.
c) Data processed locally in the browser
The Application runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Time zones, working hours, and planner preferences you enter remain exclusively on your device (e.g. local storage) and are not transmitted to the Controller, except for the standard navigation data mentioned above.
Categorization for CCPA/CPRA (USA)
Under US state privacy laws, the categories of personal information collected include:
Identifiers: Email address (only if you contact us), IP address.
Internet/electronic network activity: Browsing data and interaction with the Application.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application uses:
Technical storage: Strictly necessary for the operation and security of the site, including cookies set by our hosting provider Cloudflare.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): Activated exclusively following your express consent provided via the cookie banner.

4. Data Sharing
Data may be processed by the following third parties (designated as data processors where applicable):
Technical service providers: Cloudflare Inc. (hosting and network security); Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. (traffic analytics, subject to prior consent).
Public or judicial authorities: Only to comply with legal obligations or binding requests.
The Data Controller does not sell or share users' personal data for third-party marketing or commercial profiling purposes.
5. International Data Transfers
Certain third-party providers (Cloudflare, Google) are based in or operate servers in the United States or outside the EEA. Such transfers occur in compliance with the safeguards provided under the GDPR (e.g., the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses - SCCs approved by the European Commission).
6. Data Retention
Email correspondence: Retained for the time necessary to handle your request and then deleted.
Analytics data: Retained for 14 months, as configured in our Google Analytics 4 property (see Cookie Policy).
Technical hosting data: Retained according to Cloudflare's standard retention policies for security purposes.
7. Security
The Controller adopts appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration (e.g., encrypted HTTPS connections). However, no internet transmission system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
8. Rights of the Data Subject
For EU / EEA / Swiss / UK users (GDPR)
Under Articles 15–22 of the GDPR, you may exercise the following rights at any time: request access to, correction, erasure, or restriction of processing of your data; object to processing or request data portability (where applicable); withdraw consent at any time; lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., your local Data Protection Authority).
For US residents (CCPA / CPRA and state laws)
You have the right to: know and access the specific categories and pieces of personal data collected; request the erasure or correction of your personal data; request to opt-out of sales/sharing (although the Controller does not sell personal data); not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights. To exercise your rights, please send an email to the Controller at the contact details provided in Section 10.
9. Minors
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age (for the United States/COPPA) or under 14–16 years of age depending on the applicable EU Member State legislation (14 years in Italy). If a parent or guardian believes a minor has provided personal data without consent, please contact the Controller for prompt removal.
